What’s the interior design forecast for 2018? From plants, to tiles and velvet furnishings, we gathered a few of the top interior design trends that you will see everywhere this year!

PATTERNED PLANTS: Calathea Lancifolia also known as “prayer plants,” raise and lower their leaves from day to night. The Calathea Rattlesnake has rich purple accents, adding color and patterns to your houseplant displays. Make sure they only get indirect sunlight and water lightly. Allow the top 2-3″ to dry out before watering.

BRIGHTER AND BOLDER TILES: Subway tiles go with almost anything, but they are too safe for 2018. Designers are looking for more color and fun shapes and we couldn’t agree more!

GEOMETRIC PATTERNS: Simple shapes are shaking up the scene, but Pantone puts geometric patterns on the top of 2018 Home Trends. It’s easy to incorporate geometry into your decor, from wallpaper, to tea light candle holders to throw pillows, there’s many simple ways to add this trend into your home.

VELVET FURNISHINGS: While 2018 is finally embracing the velvet material, some may think that purchasing an entire velvet couch is a bit too much. Try velvet throw pillows or blankets and you will achieve the same look, without the long commitment and big spending.

WOOD: Bringing in natural elements into your home is very important, especially because of the strong presence of technology everywhere. It’s good to have a balance of both in your home.
