A New Year means a fresh start, so let’s begin with your home. Just thinking about cleaning, decluttering and organizing your entire home can be a bit overwhelming. We listed a few tips below on how to successfully tackle this project:
Focus on a room. Take at least 2 to 3 hours out of your week or weekend to focus on a room. Do not try to clean and declutter your entire home in one day. Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Buy Bins, boxes and baskets AFTER cleaning and decluttering. This way, you will see what type of containers you really need.

Complete each task, before tackling a new one. Donating or giving to a family or friend? Throw it in the car right away and make arrangements for dropping them off. If you keep it as a pile in the corner somewhere, it will collect dust and we will have to start this process all over again.

4 Must Dos for Every Room:
Organize: An old coffee cup in the office or a jacket strewn on your desk chair? Tackle the surface first. Put away all the things that are not in their proper home.

Trash: Grab a trash bag and throw out everything that belongs in the trash. Time to shred old bills or mail and finally throw out that one sock with no pair.
