We’re Hiring: Furniture Sales

Full or Part time Salesperson for the customers at Rockridge Furniture & Design. Join our fun and energetic team in a low stress, non-predatory, purposeful work environment. Duties include greeting customers in our retail store, and helping them make their furniture selection. The ideal candidate will also enjoy visiting customers homes for fabric selection, and measurement verification. We’re looking for someone who will be great at and enjoy:
  • Working with customers is a positive and friendly manner
  • Selling and goal setting
  • Studying and internalizing the nuances to custom furniture.
  • Be a good listener, using fewer words with higher impact
  • Be able to schedule and track all details through the computer
  • Meet weekly goals
  • Be open and encouraging to everyone around you
  • Follow up, follow up,and follow up
  • Stays organized
  • Embrace new systems and computer programs in a positive and timely manner
  To excel in this position, you’ll need:
  • Sales experience, at least 2 years.
  • Strong motivation to be your very best, and encourage this from others.
  • Furniture or decorating experience helpful.

We’re Hiring: Interior Designer

Full or Part time Interior Designer for the clients of Rockridge Furniture & Design. Join our fun and energetic team in a low stress, purposeful work environment. You’ll initially be working in our showroom, and you will be working most weekends during the training period. Duties include contacting warm leads from our lead generation marketing pool [no cold calling ever] to set appointments, meeting with clients in their homes and conduct an in depth interview of their needs. You’ll then pull together a list of the required resources, create room layouts and mood boards. You will be in ongoing contact with your client by asking clarifying questions as you go along. As projects gel, you’ll conduct a formal presentation of the entire package and ask for the sale. Upon client’s final approval, the items are ordered and staged in our warehouse. At delivery, you’ll be working with our installation crew on placement of the purchased items. We’re looking for someone who will be great at and enjoy:
  • Working with clients is a positive and friendly manner
  • Selling, along with goal setting
  • Grasping the nuances of custom furniture.
  • Be a good listener, using fewer words with higher impact
  • Be able to schedule and track all details through the computer
  • Meet weekly goals
  • Be encouraging to everyone around you
  • Loves to learn
  • Stays organized, and makes good commissions!
